The Office of Transportation, Infrastructure and Sustainability is hosting a meeting about a partially-protected bike lane along 22nd Street tonight between 6pm and 7:30pm at the Greenfield School at 2200 Chestnut Street.
The Bicycle Coalition encourages you to attend—and bring a friend.
OTIS is proposing restriping the bike lane between Snyder and the Ben Franklin Parkway, with a protected bike lane between South Street and Market Street.
We support this plan, have been advocating for protected infrastructure along 22nd Street for several years and, like you, have questions about it.
That’s why it’s important we keep the momentum up for protected, safe infrastructure in Philadelphia. So, come out to the meeting tonight, and encourage our friends to join us.
Too often, neighborhood meetings are attended by those people staunchly for, and staunchly against, proposed projects. But what about everyone else? Thousands of cyclists, pedestrians, motorists and public transit riders use 22nd Street every day. They should all have a say and learn more about this project.
So, bring a buddy who is interested in learning more about this project and how it might affect their commute, and the safety of the neighborhood.
Urbanist PAC group has a Facebook invitation up. RSVP to the meeting here.
