2019 City Council Candidate Questionnaire

On April 12, the Philadelphia Vision Zero Alliance — a group of more than 30 organizations around Philadelphia dedicated to safer streets for all Philadelphians — sent out a questionnaire to all City Council candidates, asking for their opinions on a host of issues.

We have begun receiving those answers from all candidates and will be linking them below. Our questions ranged from dedication to protected bike lanes, micromobility options, funding Vision Zero projects, and whether Council or engineers should have final say over engineering projects.

The Philadelphia Vision Zero Alliance is a coalition of 30 local organizations dedicated to bringing Philadelphia’s traffic deaths down to zero.

Since our advocacy during the 2015 election, the City of Philadelphia has adopted a Vision Zero plan and begun making infrastructure improvements for safer travel throughout Philadelphia.

The Vision Zero Alliance, and the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, does NOT endorse candidates. These answers are solely for you to form an opinion on candidates running for office in the 2019 City Council primary.

We will continue updating this page as the questionnaire answers come in.
